Thanks to a thoughtful cousin who had the foresight to know that these two would be just what the other needed. All it required was an arranged encounter at a hair salon and the inseparable journey of Emily Tingle and Daniel Turner began.
Now, there is nothing better than finding strength in the arms of the one you love through tough times. "Life has thrown us some curve balls throughout the years and each time he has loved me so well through it all. I knew I wanted to go through the ups and down of life with this guy", Emily stated as she reflects on her love for Daniel.
And although distance is a factor in their relationship, it affords them the opportunity to cherish the time they do share together. "...When we finally get to see each other on the weekends we just try to relax together. He cooks for me a lot and we watch a lot of movies".
Emily also is well aware that she and Daniel "balance each other". "Daniel is more outgoing, always trying new things and keeping me on my toes and I am more reserved and keep us grounded". However, Emily adds, "we have been together long enough to be so comfortable with each other but I still get so excited to see his name pop up on my phone when he calls".
Notably, the proposal was expected, however, the actually event was a total surprise! Emily recalls the night vividly, "it was going to be a quiet weekend at home because I wasn't feeling well and he was supposedly out of town to play in a golf tournament. My best friend and I went to my parents' house just to hang out on that Friday night. But, when we pulled into the drive, I saw him standing in my beautifully decorated back yard waiting for me. I instantly knew what was up and I couldn't get over to him fast enough! He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I, of course, said, "YES!" When I turned many of my family and friends were there to celebrate with us. It was perfect!"
With the preparations for a lifetime together underway, Emily's focus is simple, "to have his last name and come home to each other every day is going to be a dream come true." "I just can't wait to finally marry Daniel and get to have a big party with all our family and friends."
The wait will end on May 26, 2018 at the NorthRiver Yacht Club in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with a ceremony best described as clean and simple accented by "lots of white and lots of greenery." We are sure it will be timeless, just like these two!
