Megan Aaron of Megan's Photography kindly shared this moving engagement session of Sarah Beth and Matthew. Megan admits she is infatuated with the way photography expresses a feeling and tells a story, and how she views it as her responsibility to capture the essence of that moment and the people experiencing it in the most real and candid way possible. Megan's editing style is bright and colorful with warm and moody tones. Megan shares that her desire for you to look at her work and feel transported to the time and place you were in your lives when those moments were captured.
Do you ever come across two people and think they are so in sync and perfectly matched that you honestly can't imagine them being with anyone else? Well, if you haven't, you should meet Taylor and Noah. These two are sweet, kind and incredibly adorable. The way that they gazed into each others eyes during our entire engagement session proves that they were literally meant to be.
We had so much fun getting to know these Jacksonville State students. Even though Noah is so very quiet, he is studying Broadcast Communications. He may be shy but we know that if you put him in a studio with a microphone in front of him he could talk all day about his favorite team, the Atlanta Braves! We have no doubt that he will succeed in his career with his winning personality! And then, there’s his dimples!
Taylor is a bit shy as well but warmed up and opened up like a super model! We weren’t surprised at all when we found out she’s studying to be a buyer in retail fashion. I mean, just look at her! When she changed into that flowy, subtle snakeskin dress, WOW! Our camera’s went off like paparazzi! We loved exploring the beauty of downtown Birmingham with them, from our long walk through Railroad Park and our trek to the Rotary Trail. We definitely got all of our steps in for the day and it was well worth it. We are so honored and excited to be a part of their beautiful wedding day at the Sunset at Smallwood Farms in November! Congratulations from Katie Holifield Photography!

When seeking an engagement session that was tailored to their personalities, Sam Jasper Photography's engaged couple knew their desires were in good hands with Sam Jasper. Christel and Justin wanted a mix of colorful vibrant and soft pastel colors for their shoot. A great way to achieve that look would be through using color smoke bombs. They also wanted to incorporate the essence of Birmingham. So, with Sam's amazingly talented point of view, Christel and Justin stopped by key locations in and around the Magic City area such as the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and the Alabama Theater. Overall the theme was to showcase the beauty of spring with a hint of urban flare.
Abby Carr and Charlie Esskuchen were wed on September 16th, 2017 at Rockhurst Farm in Wilsonville, Alabama. Charlie and Abby both love the outdoors. So, for their wedding day it was a no brainer that their ceremony would be outside. Rockhurst Farm boasts a magnificent old oak tree, beautiful fields, and a large open pavilion. Needless to say, this was the perfect choice for both their ceremony and reception. Abby and Charlie exchanged vows under the large oak tree at sunset and the reception immediately followed at the neighboring pavilion.
The wedding inspiration came from the couples' love for being in nature and the laid back atmosphere that comes with it. Both desired a laid back vibe for their wedding day complete with a comfortable setting for friends and family to gather and celebrate. With a rustic feel and contemporary touches meant to highlight the beauty of their surroundings and display their personalities.
Amy Sullins, owner of Amy-Cole Photography, was honored to capture Katie and Dustin's dreamy wedding day at Park Crest Event Facility. Amy has known the beautiful bride for two years now and, surprisingly, Katie was a bridesmaid to a favorite Amy-Cole's bride. When these two booked their wedding with Amy nearly two years ago, Amy immediately felt it would be a day to remember! And, boy was she right about that!

Photography tells a story by invoking your heart to truly feel what you see. No story is better told that way than the images captured on one's wedding day. Kensi of Magnolia Photography shows us elegance, grace and Southern charm in the October wedding she documented where the backdrop was a beautiful farm. This submissions is filled with touches of vintage flair, combined with hints of mixed styles and mixed with the love that the bride, Jessica, and the groom, John, share for one another.
